 The dawn of promise of a hopeful day

 

Still there are no casual words

That holds the breath of things

That describes the way the soul knows

That the given hour is racing to meet

 

The fire that breaths to life

The hope that swords the strife

Patches the wounds of a heart

 A balm that stills the bitter wind

 

You were the hour that changed all time

You the reason for the quiet ticking beat

Like the rose blooming in splendour

After a freezing winter of chilling bone

 

You are the song forever in tune

That sings endlessly in summer.
