Anger

Anger

A Poem by MOON

So the silence rages in your head,

You believe all love is dead.

Diets of bitter seeds fed,

This is life this is where you have fled.

Around you on eggshells we tread

Lofty promises and laughter shred

Blackened you have taken to your bed.

Opening old wounds and the past long dead.

Here I come with glowing smiles all clad.

You bite your lip, you believe you led,

To the undoing, love crimson red.

Still to the demons of your mind you are wed.

I agree with Angelink, I think that last line is the most powerful and thus my favourite. I like that it takes the struggle with this emotion in to the spiritual realm, as well as having it displayed out in the world and within oneself. Very good write.

well put together, amazingly written :)

You so well perceive and portray this unfortunate instance of barely-under-the- surface anger; anger that reinforces itself with every flare-up. Someone close to you is afflicted, one who refuses to get close enough.
Work with impact, Moon!

This sums up the feeling behind anger very well. I get the sensation of the subject being jaded as well. The flow if it is perfect and it reads very easily. Overall, I think you did a very nice job of deconstructing an emotion and bringing it to light.

I love this Moon...As a writer you have captured raw emotion's demons and forced them to come forth into the light with your transparent honesty...Understanding for those often "Too Misunderstood"..
Bravo, my hat is off to you..

Very nicely written. The perceptive well told. The sufferings are genuine. OK.... Good write. With regards.

The 3rd stanza is exceedingly fine! The middle stanza could be edited. But the plot of this is amazing, I've met so many cynical and unidealistic people, it makes me feel mad that they are like sheep.

My favorites:

1. You bite your lip, you believe you lead, To the undoing, love crimson red
2. So the silence rages in your head, You believe all love is dead.

. wow ... this is a very powerful piece of writing ... deeply perceptive ... and extremely profound ... it's very important for each one of us to let go of inner rage ... it's tough but it can be done ... we have to banish those "demons" and let go of "bitterness" ... beautifully written, dear poet ...
