I just want to sleep

I just want to sleep

A Poem by Michelle Mackenzie
"

how I feel at the moment.

"

Poems I write

The poems I write,

use to be as easy as breathing,

I could write pages,

full of sad or happy feeling.

I write what I am feeling,

All that I write comes from my heart,

More often than not,

I write when I want to fall apart.

Tears in my eyes would swell,

My aching heart would break,

Words flow onto pages,

Leaving my feeling in its wake.

Poems I write is raw emotion,

My feelings on my sleeve,

I write down my life,

and then I leave.

The poems I write is often sad,

Bitter to the end,

People turning on me,

Left without a friend.

So I end this poem,

I can't stay too long,

I'm off to find somewhere,

Where I feel I belong.
