A reggae song I wrote

wrote this reggae song a while back so decided to post it

so sound! , pull the trigger of the gun
bang! , shot down are you ready for some fun
you'll be running from night to day
s**t bad luck a cop got in your way
he says put down the piece son
we've got u covered and I urge you not to run
you don't want to be doing 15 to life
so put down the weapon and end this strife
but you ignore what , hes saying to you
you'd never been one to listen to a man in the blue
you pull out a spliff and light right there
as an audience stops by to sit and stare
now you've got no where left to hide
looks like you'll be leaving with your pride
next thing you know there all looking down
cause you just got shot and your laying on the ground
now the cop he comes up to you ,
you've learned your lesson boy tell me that its true
and with your last breath you look to him and say
you may have killed me but my heart got away
but your in the way of his course
lay there bleeding he feels no remorse
yeah sure you were a fucked up kid
but where were your parents when you needed them
were they out buying booze ?
or calculating corporate costs while watching the tube
maybe they loved you all along
they just didn't have enough emotions or weren't that strong
but yeah you sure showed them right ?
you're a mess on the pavement under the street lights
