For just the dance...

She moves
Eyes closed
Heart beating so
Oh the joy!

Her passion takes over
For within its a living thing
Devouring all
Nothing else of importance.

Just the dance..

She twirls round and round
Arms spread wide
Leaping through the air
She is flying.

The music taking her to the point of no return
To dreams of yester-year
Days of wonder and joy
She glides softly.

Like a breeze softly moving
She passes all around
Her eyes seeing only the light
Hearing the music take her beyond.

In motion, she is...


For just the dance...


Always... For just the dance..

This is a true dancer's piece reminds me of Norma Sherer in the "Red Shoes" a woman who gives up all for the love of the dance and dies while dancing. A great movie, a greater poem because it brought back the memory of such a wonderful moving picture Kudos my Twin
