I feel you deep inside
So deep that it hurts to take a breath
To feel my heart skip for just that tiny second
I die each time.

Oh the misery,
The heartache,
I feel so..
Crushing me underneath.

For nothing I can do
Or say
Only words inside my thoughts
Each and every day.

I wonder on where you are
On what you do
Who you think of
Who thinks of you.

For I know it is not me
That invades your heart
Your soul
And Oh Lord that pains me deep.

For nowhere can I go
Nothing can bring me back
For lost I was
From the first moment that we met.

So I ask you this
Inside your own world you may be
Tucked away in the recess of your mind
But still I cry out for what I see.

For only the inner light, so dim
Guides your way
No hand out to hold
No words of comfort.

Sadly I sit by and watch
Lips closed, eyes blind
And only one question keeps coming to my mind.

have we all not felt the sting of rejection...to only find ourselves wondering of the one who has rejected us...love is such a grasping pain at times...and we are left to wonder...
