Total eclipse of my heart

 

I live in darkness

Surrounding my thoughts, space,

All around me

No where to turn.

 

Thoughts faded to a mere whisper of what once was

Once light, has now slipped away

With laughter, happiness

Now forever they stay.

 

Eluding my mind

My heart and soul

'Turn the light on'

Yet no light ever shows.

 

Loneliness has invaded me

Taken me under its wing

Holding tight

Ropes binding like chains.

 

Squeezing tighter with each move

Till noting left

I watch, tears falling

Through tears I see two moon's collide

 

 

 Total eclipse shines down.

 

On my darkened form.

 

 

 Total eclipse of my heart.
