Life..

Kind of like a story, yet not too long.. Hope all like it.

A warm breeze softly lifts my hair.

Kicking at the sand, I walk aimlessly.
Nothing on my mind; no thoughts...just freedom...
To be what I want. My arms held out, I fly...

laughing gleefully... Shamelessly, without a care.

For who am I but me?
Who knows what is inside but I?
Who cares to break that wall;
The curtain of many layers?

For, many years have made them.
Many words have strengthened them.
Many hurts have enforced them...
And many have given up, or pushed away.

The darkness of the sky is my shield;
The stars my shining light forward;
The breeze my soft caress, like a lovers sweet kiss...
Hands barley touching, gentle and lovingly.

I am freedom...
I am one with the world...
I am mother of all...
I am whole...I am me.

Waves crash against rock.
I watch and wonder on their anger...
To feel its force so powerful...
To unleash all within... the danger.

To the darkness of the night, I let out my call...
The call of the wild... the anger at the sea...
The anger held way too long within.
Like the rocks, I feel its sting... lashing.

Welts hidden, now healing; soothing...
The yesterdays slowly fade away...into the darkness.
The stars blink down on me and like a cloak...engulf.
Pain, misery, hurts, mistrust...all Leave.

I stand before the wind...hands held out as tears fall.
A moment of peace was all I sought; prayed for.
In return, I received my inner self...beauty in itself.
I gave myself to the darkness... the stars...the wind...the night.

In return, I was given a gift...

Life really is a gift and it needs to be embraced and cherished.!
Oh, so many times I have almost had life taken away from me, I never appreciated till the last time it almost happened, I lost alot, and I wish I would appreciated I had when I had it, the whole situation could have been avoided.
Anyways, the emotion in this poem jumps out at me and speaks to me ' Do you appreciate me now?'
