Divinity Fear

Divinity Fear

A Poem by Mahlo Metsys
"

A personal poem to brush along the surfaces of facing fear as a necessary part of life.

"

Fear is an angel, a ruler of souls

Without it, our humanity never unfolds

We learn from this angel, we learn who we are

A person can not live, until their first scar

A scar is a painting, a creation upon

Though it may heal, it will never be gone

We are all our own artists, we’re creating each day

Our work only ends when in death we may lay

But until that day comes, may you paint, paint in fear

For this powerful angel makes everything clear

If you dream without nightmares, what makes you see?

When everything’s perfect, you’ll grow tired of glee

The angel will find you, and it takes you away

To teach you that struggles drag us to the gray

You feel hopeless and anxious, until finally it ends

This angel will save you, when you learn how it sends.
