Silent Silhouette

Silent Silhouette

A Poem by Rose Tyler
"

Written during one of my classes when I finished an assignment early

"

I walk alone on this winding road

 Without another soul in sight

No one to help me on my way

 To this destination unknown

I sit in these empty, desolate halls

Not a light on, only the dark is my company

Don't come to find me when the bells ring

Because I won't be here any longer.

I dive into the sunset

Allowing the air to rush past my face

Stinging my cheeks and screaming through my hair

Whipping through the clouds into oblivion

I run from every demon in my past

Your face haunts my every thought

Struggling with everyday tasks

Feeling like I have to fight you to live

I stand atop this mountain

A Silent Silhouette

Facing that which I most fear

Pulling through and casting you away

This worthless* note you hold in your hand

Just know I'm already free

And you already know where to find me - Look Up.

I for one think this absolutely beautiful. For whatever reason it kind of paints this picture of an Angel floating up above. I loved it(:
