Just Begin

Just Begin

A Poem by Malen

Scattered thoughts interrupt ambition
Concentration, broken to memory
Curtains blowing, dancing to winds breath
The chair creaks back, slouching as the pen drops
Laying on blank space, infinity proves hard to capture

Silence, disturbing and unkind
Frustration, running fingers through hair
Memories taunting
Reruns, mocking words trapped
The chair released, spins

Footsteps, awaken the dormant floor
Steam greets the air with twirls
Pouring, out and in
Warmth and stimuli, falling to confinement
Aroma, changes the universe again

Nothing like a hot beverage to rejuvenate the spirit and help unclog the mind when we so desperately want the words to fall onto the page. A great write!

I like the way you use the language. Using minimum words create place and thoughts. I had to read the poem a few time for the good description. A lot of strong lines could lead to more poetry. I could write five poems by using one line from this amazing poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Wow.. I could feel the words here. I kept imagining this being read aloud at a reading. So much depth to analyze.. great work!
