Drowning MeA Poem by Malen
Shifting in and out of posture
Waiting for day break The night is gaining light Along insight Rising yellows, oranges, and reds Yet, still not ready for bed Nonsense clouds heavy head Deeper rains in roaring sea A memory ahold of me Wishing to float in space instead No gravity, vast infinity Lightly reaching, Limitless sound no weight comes down, on heavy crown Buoyancy unavailing, sinking; must be leaking Sunk down in the depths of me; density Breathlessly I think of you As monsters take to my sea refusing plea of drowning, me © 2015 MalenAuthor's Note
