In Memory

In Memory

A Poem by Malen

Like a sickness I've become
Weakened beyond myself
Words of judgment part my lips
Intended maliciousness .
Bitter resentment poisons veins
Hate becomes real again

A moment of unhappiness lurking
Upon an argument of heart
Separated, falling, fallen apart.
Sinking deeply away from light
I am beyond darkest night.

Misery caught my soul
Renouncing years I behold
Crippling my art.
Ruining heart.

Caving to my own sweet breath.
I am what is left.
Locked away in secrets hold
Protecting what is never told.

It was me again, it was me.
Interrupting my own beauty.
Doubting every step I take.
Making you my mistake.
