This is home

This is home

A Poem by Malmalo

There’s little to a naked eye

A small room with a window that faces the empty terraces

The sounds of barking dogs clutters and clogs my mind

Yet it still remains so peaceful and dear on the inside

I can stand on the roof and see where I could be

I know I will always be a champion

This is where I’ll make new friends

This is where I’ll write my thoughts on paper

This is where I’ll put my head to rest

Because I just found a new home

The freshness of moving to somewhere new can be inspiring yet daunting. I love how you open with 'there's little to a naked eye' ... Love the hopeful perspective of this poem :)
