The hunt for Eden

We search but do we find?

We reach but we do we touch?

We look but do we see?

We fight but do we win?

We hunt it and we name it,

We shout, scream and blame it.

Humanity fuelled by greed,

The meaning of this word is need.

I like this very much. So much said in so few words.

I enjoyed this write even though my personal Eden has very little to do with greed. I agree with you though. Everyone has their own ideas of what Eden is and how to get there.
This write makes the reader think of their own Eden and for myself made me ask the question "Am I on the right path to get there?".
I'm not sure if you intended the ryme on the last stanza or if it just worked out that way to make your point. Whichever way it happened, I wouldn't change it. It works nicely :)
