Taken not for

Taken not for

A Poem by LPS

Divulged devised a little drunk and despised.
I walked into the room.
A hundred eyes rip and pry.
As if burning right on through.
I know where I am and I don't care.
I totally  understand.
You find facility with a hundred eyes,
Equally lost as you.
But I will stay and stand my ground.
With a memorandum, two fingers full of truth.
Two fingers, one per hand.
Just for all of you.
The hundred eyes that categorize.
Muddling ignorance for kindred cooth.
Never astounding. Never astounded.
Bearing judgement to one and all.
I stand and I will stand.
Arms raised high.
Bearing two fingers full of truth.
One per hand.
For the scrutinizing eyes, the takers of the youth.
