Sometimes LoveA Poem by Michelle Tarnowski Sometimes love is elusive Moving around us Like a mist that can’t be held It is distant and unattainable Sometimes love is hurt Ripping through us Like the wind in a hurricane or flames in a fire It is wild and powerful
Sometimes love is comfort Holding us as a mother would Like a child in caring arms It is solace and rest
Sometimes love is patient Stilling us in a measure of time Like a chrysalis in wait It is enduring and silent
Sometimes love is quick Coming to us in an instant Like a flash of lightening It is sudden and surprising
Sometimes love is elusive Moving around us Like a mist that can’t be held It is distant and unattainable
Sometimes love is forever Remaining with us without an end Like a circle that can’t be broken It is rare and eternal
