Photography and Friends

Photography and Friends

A Poem by MareBear

I take a lot of pictures,
Of my friends.
I act like I have a lot of fun,
And join in with some.
I live a lie,
And hide behind the camera.
I am lonely,
But I try to mask it.
I try to make it seem like I am happy,
I try to lie.
And hide my true feelings,
But I am sad.
I am lonely,
And I make my photography.
Seem like I am happy,
But I hide behind my friends,
And photography.
Why do I mask my feelings?
I mask them because,
I am afraid to show my feelings,
I am afraid of rejection.
From those I take pictures of,
From those I call my friends.
