Sink

Sink

A Poem by Margaret Marie Hubbard

If you were to listen
if you were to hear
would my soul's disdain
be a tickle in your ear?

If you looked upon me
if you glanced my way
would you only see
a poor girl drenched in pain

No, I sink my teeth into you
I take away your life
I fill my hearts desire
with your screams in the night.

I feast upon your misery
with a smile of pure delight
Your essence drips from my lips
as I fill my cup tonight.

if you touched my hand
or placed your palm on my face
would you feel the coolness
of my ever fading flame

if you traced these scars
if you felt this agony
would you take place by my side
or would you run and hide?

No, I sink my teeth into you
I take away your life
I fill my hearts desire
with your screams in the night.

I feast upon your misery
with a smile of pure delight
Your essence drips from my lips
as I fill my cup tonight.

I sink my teeth into you
and I drain away your life
I fill my heart's desire
as you beg for your life.

I feast upon your misery
as you tried to feast on mine
you should have looked inside yourself
as you passed by me with pride.

Now that poem had power to it.
A little sad but who ever heard of a happy poet.
The Vamp that feeds on the strength of the passing by.

Great write thanks for sharing.
