Facade of a Complete Heart

Facade of a Complete Heart

A Poem by Marilyn My Bitterness

This heart of mine

Not of gold, but of pain,

With little or no consequence

Has lost its beautiful shape

Because of the beating by your hand

Across the pavement scraped

Tears no longer collect and fall

From these dry eyes of mine

Filled with nothing but regret and

Bottled aggression filtered through hate

A facade of an oasis through desert

In the distance where I can rest

Through that inferno I have passed

Only to then want to escape

If only I could rid my mind of the image

Of your beautiful smiling face.

Painful outcry but so beautifully written... sometimes we try to fool everyone that we are ok when we are heartbroken but you can never fool your own emotions... Very well written.
