A Thing To Be, Is Strange.

A Thing To Be, Is Strange.

A Poem by Mark Mendoza

Somedays,
I'm the most boring person I've ever known.
But, that's no crime.
So, I sit bored;
With a heart still beating,
Eyes still seeing,
Mind still streaming,
Ears still hearing,
Feeling...bored.

A peculiar feeling...
Just as peculiar as a sudden motion of creativity.

Bored is a strange thing to be.
Sad, is a strange thing to be.
Happy, is a strange thing to be.
Angry, is a strange thing to be.
Confused, is a strange thing to be.
Torn apart, is a strange thing to be.
Whole, is a strange thing to be.
A thing to be,
Is strange.

a poem much like Emily Dickinson might write, but you are anything but boring Mark.
Poets often feel that way...and we also feel strange at times...
but your writing is so relatable....
we are all strange in our own way...
