She Came to Me

She Came to Me

A Poem by Dave

                                 She Came to Me
She came to me as the stars were beginning to twinkle
her face aglow from the light of the moon rising.
Delicate fingers reach to touch me lying in repose abed.
After a day of hard labor, I longed for rest, but her touch
awakened me to her desire.  That which she wanted, I
could not deny,  nestling next to me, I was astir for her.
Her love, warmth was all I needed when she came to me.
