Thinking of You

Thinking of You

A Poem by Dave

                     Thinking of You

I watch the tiny waves ripple along the shore

remembering the times we walked together

thinking , hoping it would last forevermore.

Together we laughed as the gulls screeched

we took our time as we strolled the beach

My love for you, for me easily within reach.

Whatever happened to those golden days,

to those wondrous nights?

Summer is long gone, and all I have is thoughts of you.

Winter fills the air, I look and you are not there

winter cold brings despair, yet I hope of finding you

Thinking of you brings the promise of summer and us again.
