The Eclipse Of The Moon

The Eclipse Of The Moon

A Poem by Honey-Bee

I saw the eclipse of the moon last night
It was crimson and half out of sight
Memories pour down the lane
Of each eclipse that has come and waned
Of such memories  I popped a vein
and blood dripped just like rain
Passover blood ran down my face
As I begged and pleaded for mercy and grace
No mercy was given I lost my son
I stood in the blood bath not willing to run
Last night the moon dripped  blood
And all  was swept away in a flash flood.

You turned a special event into a fine rhyming poem. I liked how you brought in religious themes like Passover and mercy. I wondered about the use of the word "blood" four times in the final six lines, but cannot think of a synonym either :( I liked the theme and enjoyed the read :) Penny

Wonderful imagery and a sign of things happening in the future.

These next few years will bring great change and I often wonder the outcome and what exactly that will entail.

Kudos and keep it up.

I like that you share your visions. They are meant to be shared. The 4 blood moons- 2 this year-2 next year, all occur on Jewish feast days. This is a sign, or Portent. I have a poem with that title.
