The Sun & the Moon

The Sun & the Moon

A Poem by Matriarch
"

Most see love as a joyous thing, but sometimes love can cause someone pain

"

The moon stared over at the sun

Why must you be so far?

Why must we be so different?

You light up the world

While I darken the skies

I cause destruction

You cause life

I am unavoidable

You are what people see at the end of the tunnel

I am the darkness that creeps at peoples backs

You are the hope in people’s eyes

Why must I be so different?

Why must I be so far?

Why must you be the one that lights up my world?

Why must you be the hope that settles inside me?

Why must you be the grace that lights up the end of my tunnel?

I really enjoyed this piece. I totally understand what you penned down and i love it. The only thing I can say negatively about this piece is that it feels unfinished. I feel like you could add much more to this and it would perfection. But that could only be me.
