Cravings

Cravings

A Poem by Tamika Finley

Craving you..
Like a mid-summer's day..
On a ice cold, winter's evening..
Craving your touch..
As a female would chocolate..
While menstruating..
I crave the edge of your voice..
When you're sleepy..
Or have just waken up..
And a "I miss you..
I know I messed up"..
If you could admit it to me..
Just this once..
Swallow your pride..
Don't give up on our love..
I'm suffering this crave of you..
Like music in the shower..
And sleep on a restless day..
I still carry this hope..
Knowing you won't come around..
I'll stop missing you..
Crying out for you..
Having hope and faith in you..
I'll stop having these cravings for you..
One of these days.
