![]() A lover's heartA Poem by winter;lyra![]() Is that the cheesiest title I've come up with?![]() Did you know?
I might kill you while you sleep Haunt you with loud whispers in your dreams I'm not as caring as I seem You know...it is all but my greed So go. Leave me Distance yourself Before whatever concept you possess of friendship Falls in disgrace For I am that corruptive But oh You still stay These shades got you confused It seems - no matter how dark my gaze is You're used to stick around me It astounds me What creature pursues her own death? If not known, it should at least be felt By instinct - and dealt with But oh With surprisingly silent calls for my true name Her tenacious voice finds a door that is unknown to me! To my tempestuous brain And as if not naive enough She dares to take the elevator to my heart! And although I see a wounded maiden at the corridor Her charge is far from wavering Amazing - and disturbing - the amount of disregard for the self in a lover's heart Truly, a potent poison. © 2017 winter;lyraReviews
