A Poem by Meghan.E

Tears streaming down

ivory, silky, complexion

is the greeting I gave you

that day.

The door closed behind me

and it was just you.

You and I.

Secretive, yes.

Wanted, more.

Wrong, perhaps.

Regretted, never.

My deck of cards was

not a winning hand;

that we both

acknowledge.

We sit and talk for

long enough;

your comforting

words speaking

loudly.

We close with your

voice echoing how

you love our time

together and how

strong you belive I

will be.

At the moment,

I try so hard to just

resist you.

How can I?

Your grip wraps

me in and I melt.

The escapade continues as

you draw the blinds behind me;

no one needs to know.

In this wrong, corrupted world,

I have you,

all that could ever

matter.
