Rain on Me

Rain on Me

A Poem by Meghan.E

I'm looking in the mirror, tears

streaming down my face

as I hear the thunder far off,

perhaps a distant place.

I clutch my stomach,

gasping for breath,

for life, for love.

All I want is

to feel okay.

I don't understand

why you did it.

As I gaze at my

reflection,

I wonder;

was I too ugly?

Too loud?

Too emotional?

I will never know

because you will

never tell

me.

What do I want?

Oh, you mean besides

you.

My one desire is for

the rain to

pour on me,

washing away

my fear;

along with my pain.

This is one of my much older poems; not my best compared to others I've posted, but relatively good. :)
