Shattered World

Shattered World

A Poem by Melanie Jane Boicourt Shanks

I don't want to keep up with this world anymore.
Everything just seems like such a chore.
The things I care about don't seem to matter.
Sometimes I just want my heart to splatter.
It's broken already, it will easily shatter....

The thing that you need to care most about is you! You are your #1. Then you seek out a familiar quiet place and you approach your Lord. Put your load of personal despair at His feet. Then you talk to Him like a daughter talks to her Father and He will respond in kind. Believe me, your heart will begin to heal and your focus on your world will begin to brighten. A worthy poem Melanie!
