The Raven and The Girl

The Raven and The Girl

A Poem by C.J. Ravenheart

Fields of roses, dusted black, by Raven’s wings, sitting all alone, in place like this, a friendly face. It’s a lonely little black bird, sitting all alone, singing a dirge, for his fallen friend. When suddenly, as if from nowhere, a girl appears beside him, and begs the question, which died? The raven was puzzled, and quite sick of this nuisance, when the girl let out, a soft melody. And as if his heart had healed, that day, the Raven then wondered, what song she sang. She let out a mischievous giggle, and said you’re done.

Very thought provoking. It reminds me of that classic work by Mr. Poe.
