The satellite

The satellite

A Poem by Melissa

When he claims to care
But he was never there
You should have know
That what he said wasn't set in stone

The things you said
I let go to my head
Now they mean nothing
Because we were never something

You played me for a fool
That's why you should always follow the rule
That a broken heart isn't any fun
So always be the first to run

I won't cry,
Over a lie
I won't be sad
Not even a tad

I didn't let you in
So you cant win
You never actually tried
Cuz with everything you said, you lied

I've been here a couple times before
I've had my heart hit the floor
But I'm done crashing this time
I'm going to be fine
