Repel

Repel

A Poem by Melobldnfr
"

Written a morning after going to bed upset.

"

08/07/12

I look in the mirror,

What do I find?

Some sort of glassy-eyed

Frankenstein who's lost her mind?

Sick in the head and calves

As if I went to bed

In want of kicking a*s and chewing bricks

Thanks to what you said.

I do so sometimes hate my sensitivities,

Being so easily affected.

But it brings me awareness

That should by no means be easily rejected.

If neglected, the pain just grows -

It is that simple, it is that true.

And today, thanks to your little lie,

The pain I must repel is:

Y-O-U!

Disturbed? Distress is immediately apparent in the lines. I'm not quite sure what triggered you to create this piece but emotion is clearly present. Your poem seemed to speak of your emotions controling your thinking, behavior and actions. It's always good to release whatever you have felt inside. Emotions that are not released but buried within the body can cause serious illness. So even releasing it through writing is a big help.

When you write using so much of your emotions, you can create an extremely moving piece. I think that's what you did:) Great write Mel!

Wow! In want of kicking a*s and chewing bricks. I can honestly say I have been that angry myself a time or two. Scribed perfectly. XX

Yeah. Xo. I just hate going to bed upset, and waking up sore and with it still on my mind!
