~My Sweet Sugar Dumpling

With Irish Moss hair,

We are but a stone's throw away.

As foxglove for the sky

I reach for you,

And archangels bloom and stare.

I've got years and lifetimes to release on you.

I've carried you with me for such a long time.

I made decisions that took me away,

Yet here I am -

My roads completing me,

Bending me back to the part of my heart

I'd dare not fully shake nor escape.

I hear you say "Mel..."

And whisper, "Come here, You!"

And I've got years and lifetimes to release on you!

More than any song.

More than any painting.

More than hot or cold.

More than any explanation.

More than need or desire.

More than love or lust.

We are spiritual beings having a human experience,

And I have years and lifetimes to release on you

My Sweet Sugar Dumpling

With Irish Moss hair.~

Even though it's an ode to one you know well, there's an element of innocence to this one, like you're just getting to know her as opposed to being reunited...this piece just dances with romance and devotion...great work bud ;)
