Beyond

A Poem by Melobldnfr
"

My stepsister asked about you...

"

06/16/13

Beloved, your hand is on my arm,

And I dream of you unlike any other.

Oh, that I could sing the shadows away!

Remember that time in your car?

Where we came from, where we were going?

I can't recall, but you trembled with a force

Beyond me, and I sang and sang!

I watched you, felt you -

Despite your demons -

Calm as much as possible at my voice.

My breath caught, caged -

Afraid at realizing I loved you.

Still, I love you.

I love you still.

If your worst consists of a need for song until the words run out,

I'll be yours beyond the grave.

Honest and sensual.

My breath caught, caged -
Afraid at realizing I loved you.

But aren't we all afraid? Not to love but of being not good enough, I guess. I loved this.
