Soul Memory

Soul Memory

A Poem by Melobldnfr
"

I would share my dreams and more with you.

"

06/29/13

Not to make an irreverent reference,

But you begin and end me.

To explain, my last journal is nearly full.

In reviewing it, in the beginning,

Is a poem I wrote nearly a year ago

Regarding you - us - our time together.

I'd forgotten this.

Not the time, but the writing.

It's making me swallow hard

The tears rising.

I know I've said,

But perhaps it bears repeating:

I was quite the blind fool!

But somehow am now seasoned and revised,

The blind fool's been bestowed sight.

I do wish the development had been more timely.

It feels so very Bon Jovi.

I sit here and smirk knowing how you get me.

I get you too, and long to have each other

As in my dreams and soul memory -

Extensions of each other's selves.
