I Can Die Tomorrow

I Can Die Tomorrow

A Poem by Melobldnfr
"

Oh, Sunflower!

"

07/02/13

I can die tomorrow

Having accessed and admitted

What I know.

There was a time it was just

A shadow-song in my head -

Beautiful and attractive,

But cold and thrashing.

Finally, sun burst through it

In the middle of a storm.

I called out to you,

And it poured forth from me

Like so much rain.

I can die tomorrow

In a state of unrest,

But penance having been paid.

a writer I have known well for a long time, who not only writes excellent poems but great autobiographical prose. This is very excellent too, especially the open clause of the last line...brillant !
