Worth It

Thinking a bit more loudly.

I have a great capacity for love.

While I fear awakening anything

I cannot fulfill,

I acknowledge it would not be me

But Spirit doing the fulfilling through me

As I know is the case even now.

This state that we're in,

Trying to remain nameless

As if without a name

there can be no blame,

Is actually more normal,

Beautiful, and truly loving

Than anything I've yet to know.

(See 1 Corintians 13:4-7)

"4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

I cringe inside when you

Say things about never trusting again.

I want love for you.

This starts with trust of self.

I know moreover

You don't yet again trust yourself,

And such is your way of venting.

I reflect:

Would I forever be James to your Jack?

Might you one day have an

Awakening?

How worth it it would be

Queen Dancing Creek!

A bit of a stylistic departure for you Melinda, and yet I'd have no trouble picking this one out as one of your compositions. Your romantic works are special because they're so supportive...you're willing to accept a lover warts and all...you just seem to have a natural understanding of the dynamics of romantic love. I was intrigued by the "name" motif as well...I never thought of things that way before...lovely work as always my friend.
