I know it's not for them to know my heart as You,

But I wish they could know.

I wish they could know

I have no hate, no blame.

I miss good things,

I don't think selfishly;

At the moment -

Light eyes and laughter.

I am sorry if I failed:

Failed her, failed You.

I'm sorry if I was too open.

I am sorry you became abusive

Out of the fear I inadvertently triggered,

And that out of your inability to acknowledge that

Things could not go further.

You are a beautiful person.

I can just no longer hurt myself or others

By holding when needs be a letting-go.

So, as a season, I let go.

But I am not unaffected.

How do I keep loving?
