Pieces

Pieces

A Poem by Isabel

Dancing in the desert valleys,

High up on the clouds.

I'm spinning, twirling

You can hear my youth fading very loud.

Pieces of me begin floating up towards Heaven,

But some of them like to take what they're given.

Dear Lord, don't forget about them.

They belong to you now. They belong to you.

I just want to lay back into a field of flowers

And raise my hands up towards the sky.

I want to feel like nothing matters.

I desperately search for a light.
