Mister Fake

Mister Fake

A Poem by Mercy

I'm lost in my own reality
I don't know what you see in me
I'm in own little world
You just don't see me on the other side of you

You come to me in pieces
Just like a puzzle
When I'm fallin'
There's no one to put me back together

You look at me like I'm a creature
You talk about me like I'm not even here
Listen to your words, honey
You don't know what they do to me

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me
Kissy, kissy goodbye
I'm tired of your lies

You say I'm something special
But you go and turn around
Say something different

When will the truth come out?
Am I just a joke?
Tell it to my face, and see how the wind blows

Kissy, kissy goodbye
I'm tired of your lies.
