Dance, Honey, Dance

Dance, Honey, Dance

A Poem by Mercy

You walk into the room like you own the place
When I see your face, it makes my heart beat at a different pace
I'm your love and you're my ace

You don't see me on your way in
But you stick your skin with that pin
You put it in your mouth
Just to hear a shout

It passes through your lips
You keep swaying your hips
Letting your tail flow against the back of your legs
Raise those kegs

Your horns are showing, but you don't seem to know
You're going in rows
Spinning round and round
But you don't hear a sound

That stranger walks in
You drink from the rim
That's not me
He's someone way better to be

It passes through your lips
You keep swaying your hips
Letting your tail flow against the back of your legs
Raise those kegs

Dance, dance till your heart gives out
You're always going to be mine
Even if I have to pout
Even if I have to mime

I'm invisible in your eyes
But you're gorgeous in mine...

I like the poem. Being so close and so far at the same time.
"I'm invisible in your eyes
But you're gorgeous in mine..."
I like the ending. Beauty allowed us to be content. Even if we can't hold it close. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
