TERMINUS

TERMINUS

A Poem by Mockingbird

hurled into the nothingness of knowing
the chain is severed
disconnecting me from
the illusion of linearity.

worlds blur by on this mirrored descent
to the terminus of all possibility
the realm untouched by
days nor tide.

i am infused with the energy that's held me
on the unguided path that's led me
to the portal that's long awaited me.

i am drawn beyond to find
the keeper of my soul
whose presence transcended
the intimations of earthly bonds.

calling me back to you
we meet once again
as countless journeys have been endured.

the fusion of our souls proves
timeless and eternal.

before time was conceived by mankind there was the touch of union between the two souls. the keeper entrusts our earthly bodies as carriages for the eternal being. threads of time from dimensions yet encountered interweave until we cross at what our mere mortal minds can only perceive as coincidence. when there is a future and a past, time is forced to be mentioned as linear when yet it may expand and exist in omni-directions. what our frail minds fail to comprehend, our feeble poems attempt to capture, chew like cud, until our reasoning places them into palatable conceptions. Still we fall fall short of realizing the infinity of love.

It's a very interesting poem. One I believe I'll think about for the rest of the day. Good job!
