VERSE-LESS

VERSE-LESS

A Poem by Mockingbird

upon raging still waters
nothing stirs within
this corporeal blackness

light eludes the vessel
silenced and numb
as the roar of fickle tides
obscures the fragments
of a shattered puzzle
splayed across the sea

amorphous reflections
bring dissolution to
a fading visage
into the depths
of an unversed abyss

Phenomenal! Dark and captivating, very powerful!

Very well penned Mockingbird...so powerful, poignant and "numbing"
Your words floated across the page and pointed the way...quickly and succinctly.
I liked this a lot and look forward to reading others.

Oh yeah, great decision on changing the title. It absolutely fits now.

Can I ditto Jack or do I have to come up with my review? I see what the mind of the writer goes through trying to get an idea onto paper. The idea is the vessel, fragments are the words and phrases, and the shattered puzzle is the completed work waiting to be put together. Now if only the light would turn on.. You've put together amazing metaphors here.

you fill that abyss, with words.

Flows like a deep ocean current through my mind as I read envisioning the refractions of dark dark blue light. I never stopped to think that there might not be words for the deep unknown... insightful for sure. Well written, well put.
