a warmer fleece

swept along
with the rest, i sigh
resigned to be herded.

one among them
i go unnoticed yet sought
by those who seek the solace
of a warmer fleece.

the wool can't hide their hungry eyes

as the First takes my heart
i watch the wolves above
circling their prey

You've portrayed your thoughts nicely with symbolism and metaphorical points. This is open to many different interpretations by the readers. Though I had trouble going through the words and comprehending them because of the structure.

This is a nice poem, although for me it was a little hard to read and understand. Not that it has to be easy. Perhaps a little more punctuation and normal sentence structure could help; maybe not.
There was good symbolism and cadence, and the story conveyed emotion and charactor. This was a good effort.

Reminds me of 'blood in the water'...have never liked the angry way the weak and wounded can be attacked. It is very much barbaric...
