SleeplessA Poem by Mezzy
Tick, tock.
Tick, tock. I've lost my patience staring into this wristwatch. And the more I awake, the more tainted this splotch. Tick, tock. Tick, tock. I can't help but fixate on these revolving hands. Time has escaped me and I now stare aimlessly across the lands. Tick, tock. Tick, tock. I can hear my heart, I can feel my hair growing. Have I gone insane? Is it finally showing? Tick, tock. Tick, tock. Will you help me close my eyelids? They must be super glued to my eyebrows...has anyone ever tried this? Tick, tock. Tick, tock. The bags under my eyes seem to be gaining weight. I'm losing my grip and I need something to balance me straight. Tick, tock. Tick, tock. Do you hear the voices to...are they telling you what they tell me? Are the leach like comments souring your intentions dangerously? Tick, tock. Tick, tock. My grasp on reality has faded, I now shadow my shadow. I've dropped to new depths of your so called shallow. Tick, tock. Tick, tock. Slip me something powerful, I must immerse myself into a pain free environment. I'm trapped from something worse than hitting a pothole and having your tire bent. Tick, tock. Tick, tock. I can see you reaching, but I cannot connect. It's the worse type of teasing and I hate how it is so indirect. Tick, tock. Tick, tock. I've lost my patience staring into this wristwatch. Have you seen it...are there maps shrwoded in mist not. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. © 2017 MezzyReviews
