Break Up

Break Up

A Poem by Bobbi

Another year ends and just thinking where are you?
What happened to me ? What happened to truth ?
Bad year behind me and good year ahead
Not going to be depressed, not going to stay in bed.
No more pills, no more midnight calls
I'm alone when I was with you and alone to fall

Cashed in my last pair of pearls Let go of the diamonds... And straightened my curls

I lost a few pounds for the months ahead A mirage of your words, those bitter words you said.
No more regrets, no more fears
Taken for granted after all these years
I am done all together
As the hour glass runs out, better off gone forever

I won't be cripppled in this dusty mess I won't go back, I won't regress

Don't hate me now, don't feel a thing

Don't play this note, don't pull this string for me.
