I Have a Life

I Have a Life

A Poem by Micheleyves

I Have a Life

I have a life. With my life, I shall marry and grow old.

I have a television. I watch the Walking Dead on my television.

I have a ring. This is my promise that is timeless.

I have a mask. My mask hides many personalities.

I have Stuart. I have Stuart because I cannot live without him.

I have a dog. My dog is small and barks.

I have a truck. My truck is red and goes fast.

I have a computer. I use my computer to surf the internet.

I have Love. Love is my salvation.

I have heat. Heat keeps me warm.

I have a swivel chair. I sit in my chair and spin around.

I have faith. My faith wants to save the world.

I have a diary. Where I write my thoughts and keep them safe.

I am forty-eight years old. I have renewed vision and hope

for the future.

I am bold. With this boldness, I emerge.

I have a birthday March twelfth. I hope March twelfth comes

and goes as the years have.

I have paper. On my paper, I write to you my words.
