Save the Date

Save the Date

A Poem by Michelle Rachel
"

...

"

I was thinking June, then it turned to July

And now it’s March, and I’m asking why

Am I worried about something so far away

But then I realized, and I just have to say

I love you, I need you,

So much that you’re everything to me

And I don’t care if there are people there,

It’s March 18, yet so far away,

But I’m telling you now, baby, save the date

We’ve talked about it, we know what’s coming soon

I was thinking morning, now I’m thinking afternoon

But what I need to know is what’s going through your head,

So if you didn’t hear me, here’s what I said

I love you, I need you,

So much that you’re everything to me

And I don’t care if there are people there,

It’s March 18, yet so far away,

But I’m telling you now, baby, save the date

You tell me you love me, and I know it’s true

We’ve had our problems, but we made it through

I’m not worried, and I’m not scared

My friends they ask me if I really dared,

And I told them the truth:

I love him, I need him,

So much that he’s everything to me

And I don’t care if there are people there

It’s March 18, not so far away,

But I’m telling you now, please just save the date

Will I see you on that day??...

The poem may be short but it's written so well and has so much emotion in it that length doesn't matter anymore.
