I, too, Have Known Pain

I, too, Have Known Pain

A Poem by Heart Of A Wolf

I see him in your pages,

His laughter invading the world around him.

I see the love in her eyes,

In the eyes of the one who found him.

I see their love slowly unfolding

As the world around them fades away.

They live only for one another

The the happiness and time they have today.

I see the scene as it unfolds

Of a third one outside in shadows

Who watches with a heavy heart,

The life that soon follows.

The one in the shadows,

Afriad of letting her feelings known

Allows her life to pass her by

In a furture that is hollow and alone.

You see, dear author, i know

The love, to you, was never gained.

About the woman in the shadows.

I, too, have known pain.

Quite rightly so! And thus the poet's soul resides in both your bosom and that of your poems.

very well done. definetly a 4 or 5 star in my book, just needs cleaning up tad bit with:

"The the happiness and time they have today." -cut a the
"In a furture that is hollow and alone." - future, right?
